Entry information is available through a QR code on the festival’s promotional artwork, although the accessible information does not specify rules, prizes or an entry deadline.

Mount Vic Flicks says the day will also include markets, live music and circus entertainment. The cinema has supplied the most detailed part of the schedule: a special screening of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at its Harley Avenue cinema.

Doors open at 1.30pm, with live music before the film begins at 2pm. A theatre organ performance is planned for the interval, and the listed finishing time is 4.45pm.

For costume makers and admirers of improbable machinery, the order is unusually neat: costume contest first, inventor’s flying car second.

Mount Vic Flicks lists tickets at $20 and $18, plus booking fee, and recommends booking ahead through its Chitty Chitty Bang Bang session page.

Event details

Festival: Mount Vic Fest 2026

Date: Saturday 12 September 2026

Costume contest: 12.30pm

Cinema doors and live music: 1.30pm

Film: 2pm to 4.45pm

Cinema: Mount Vic Flicks, 2a Harley Avenue, Mount Victoria NSW 2786

Film tickets: $20 and $18, plus booking fee

Check the Mount Vic Fest page for festival information before travelling.

Mount Vic Fest will bring costumes, markets, music and circus entertainment to the Blue Mountains on 12 September 2026, followed by Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at Mount Vic Flicks.

[8
25,28,26,23,27,24,11
post-7236","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-australian-events","tag-blue-mountains","tag-chitty-chitty-bang-bang","tag-costume-contest","tag-mount-vic-fest","tag-mount-vic-flicks","tag-mount-victoria","tag-nsw-events
["GET
