About this work

This submission brings together three original paintings: “Nooshahr Forest,” “Avidar Lake,” and “The Butterfly and the Sky.” Together, they describe a journey through a world after the disappearance of human civilisation. “Nooshahr Forest” shows nature reclaiming a quiet landscape, while “Avidar Lake” reflects the stillness and uncertainty of a world left behind. In the third painting, a human hand reaches toward the sky as a butterfly becomes a fragile sign of life, transformation and hope. Inspired by photographs but created entirely by hand, the paintings were developed through an intimate engagement with landscape, light, colour and symbolism. They explore the relationship between humanity and nature, asking what remains when progress, industry and human control fade away. Together, the three works form a visual narrative: survival, silence and the possibility of renewal.
