International Steampunk Art Prize 2026

This is the head piece of a series of artworks that press the limits of human recognition, created for my body of work when I graduated two years ago. This piece also presses the matter of what the current world deems quality to be. In the world we live in today, quality is no longer defined by the artwork itself, but by its resolution . How much definition the image has, how many pixels make up the full piece. This is what drew me to create these works. Pixellated versions of infamous artworks from the past, hand drawn in coloured pencils with micrometer accuracy. The largest work of them all, this one, was destroyed in transport being returned to me after it was submitted, not by my own cause, so at it sits, it now only exists digitally.
