International Steampunk Art Prize 2026

I created "Hummingbird — Between Petals"  as a graphite drawing inspired by the delicate beauty and extraordinary movement of a hummingbird. I wanted to capture a brief moment in which the bird appears almost suspended between motion and stillness, while also emphasizing its connection with the surrounding flowers. The artwork was created on paper using graphite pencils. I chose graphite because its monochromatic nature allows me to concentrate on form, texture, light, and shadow without the distraction of color. My intention was to create a drawing that feels detailed and realistic while still retaining a sense of softness and movement.
