About this work

A non-generative digital vector graphic portraying Jules Verne, one of the great precursors of the steampunk imagination. His face is integrated with gears, film-reel forms and imagined mechanical apparatus. The work also refers to Georges Méliès' 1902 film A Trip to the Moon, the pioneering science-fiction film inspired in part by Verne's writing.
