A Beautiful Decay is a symbolic digital illustration created in 2021, exploring alienation, acceptance, and the relationship between the individual and their darker self. The female figure hangs upside down among roots growing from within her own body. These roots represent both the chaos surrounding her and the ground on which she stands. Aware of her condition, she does not seek escape; instead, she embraces it, finding pleasure within the chaos. The blood flowing from her body serves as a reminder of her humanity despite her transformation, while the raven symbolizes her darker self and the awareness she has never lost. The artwork questions how one can become alienated from oneself while consciously embracing one's own darkness.
