International Steampunk Art Prize 2026

I wanted to entertain crowds at Steampunk related fairs, with a kinetic sculpture that would be a highlight and stand high above everything else. It also had to be a centerpiece amongst lawn games I also craft. So what better than an airship that faces into the wind and has a wind powered turning rear propellor! Thus the Ascending Aeronaut Airship concept was incubated. The result is a handmade Airship, that had design requirements to be portable, light, able to be mounted on standard rod, rotate in the direction of the wing and continuously have its propellor wind powered. It was scratch built using wood, material, and bits of old lamps.
