About this work

Fantastic Beasts presents an imaginary universe populated by hybrid creatures that inhabit a surreal ecosystem. The shapes evoke marine organisms, fungi, and insects, suggesting a fusion of nature and imagination. The lightness of the watercolor and the detailed graphite linework create a balance between delicacy and estrangement, inviting the observer to explore a world where the unknown becomes fascinating and alive. This artwork was created using a combination of watercolor, graphite, and colored pencils. The technique consists of manual painting and drawing on high-weight paper, applying watercolor in translucent layers to create texture and a dreamlike atmosphere. Colored pencils and graphite were then used for details, contours, and the definition of the organic forms.
