Minor incidental background music (for example during an interview recorded at a public event) may be accepted at the discretion of Steampunk.au.
5. Broadcast Standards
Broadcasters agree to: treat guests respectfully; avoid discrimination or harassment; avoid defamatory statements; comply with Australian law; avoid hate speech; avoid promoting illegal activities; avoid excessive profanity; and accurately represent facts where possible. Steampunk.au may remove content that does not meet these standards.
6. Recording Ownership and Copyright Assignment
The broadcaster acknowledges and agrees that all recordings created specifically for broadcast through Steampunk.au — including audio recordings, interviews, edited programmes, promotional clips, introductions, voice recordings, graphics created for the programme and associated production materials — are assigned to Steampunk.au upon creation.
The broadcaster irrevocably assigns all copyright and related intellectual property rights in those recordings to Steampunk.au to the fullest extent permitted under Australian law. Steampunk.au becomes the owner of the master recordings. The broadcaster may retain copies for personal portfolios unless otherwise agreed.
7. Licence to Use Name and Image
The broadcaster grants Steampunk.au permission to use their name, stage name, photographs, biography, logos, social media links, promotional images and voice recordings for promoting the broadcaster and Steampunk.au.
8. Distribution
Steampunk.au may distribute programmes through any medium including the Steampunk.au website, podcasts, streaming services, YouTube, social media, archives and future broadcasting platforms, without additional approval.
9. Programme Scheduling

10. Community Conduct
Broadcasters agree to behave respectfully towards listeners, volunteers, staff, guests, sponsors, event organisers and community members. Bullying, harassment or disruptive behaviour may result in immediate removal.
11. Sponsorship and Advertising
Broadcasters must not sell advertising or sponsorship associated with their programme without prior written approval from Steampunk.au.

14. Removal of Content
Steampunk.au may remove, edit or discontinue any programme at its sole discretion.
15. Termination
Steampunk.au may suspend or terminate membership where a broadcaster: breaches these Terms; engages in unlawful conduct; repeatedly fails to broadcast; damages the reputation of Steampunk.au; or behaves in a manner inconsistent with the aims of the community.
16. Privacy
Personal information will be handled in accordance with Australian privacy legislation. Contact details will not be sold to third parties.
17. Indemnity
The broadcaster agrees to indemnify Steampunk.au against claims arising from material supplied by the broadcaster that infringes copyright, defames another person or otherwise breaches the law.
